More cool

Another way of creating sounds using 'alternative controllers'.

This time using Processing.

Brainwave.....

Have been thinking of something that makes sound by itself, randomly but within the confines of a gallery (i.e. nothing outside as that would most likely be a bit of an issue with cables & potential wetness).

Some ideas for aleatoric random sound generating things for indoors;

  • Dripping? A tap, or something dripping into water
  • A fan blowing onto some 'windchimes' (home made?)

These would be recorded live and fed into the percussion module of the Reaktor installation.

Check this out

Interesting, and similar to my idea in terms of using an accelerometer to control a synth and jamming together with other people. Except they are using Macbooks. Cool though!

Busting out a grain delay cloud

The basis of the rhythm section will be a granular delay effect, split into 6 parts, each sampler recording 1000ms at a time, which is then split and sequenced back randomly.

Enjoy an early screenshot.

Log^2

Bonjour,

This is a log I will keep during the development of the 'Trip Hazard' (working title) Reaktor ensemble, also known as part of my dissertation.

Enjoy!
